front sway bar bracket mount ripped off...

so my front sway bar bracket mount ripped off, as is a common problem ive heard. I just would like to know what I can do from here, can I buy the suspension brackets that EMSPowered or twosrus sells, or will i have to have a plate welded in? Can I also drive without my front sway bar and endlinks for a short distance to the shop? Thanks guys

yes, you can remove the endlinks and won't risk damaging anything; you don't need a sway bar unless you do any kind of racing, or spirited driving.

I am not sure about the brackets, those bolt in where the sway bar does, and generally, when the mount ripped out the medal/welds that hold the nut on the other side of the sheet metal cracked. It could have stripped the threads, then just drill and tap to something larger

It's likely you'll have to weld in a new plate to drill in to, depending on where the bar was ripped out. Russell's also right about being able to drive without the sway bar, though the car will be extremely rolley, and it's possible that it may have an increased tendency to oversteer due to the large anti-roll force differential between the front and rear.
