Opinions on Pioneer

I can get this headunit brand new in the box (yes, legally) for $129 + tax = $139.09

Opinions, please.

4900iB... it's okay. but I could have gotten you a 6900UB for about the same price (I think it's a 6900... maybe 6800? dunno)

EDIT: 690UB.

I like pioneer a lot. I have the deh 600UB and love it. Got it from sonicelectronix on ebay - they rock. Also, they have the harnesses for the MR2 and will ship it with it free.

They actually have the harness that will work? I haven't found one yet.

besides there navi and dvd units...i have noticed that there radios SUCK.

They just don't put out enough power ........ there arn't enough options to play around with to adjust things and if they have the options, it just doesn't work well. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

Okay, I value any opinion that comes through. I'm either leaning towards an Alpine or a Pioneer.

Was even considering giving up the cup holder dream and going double din with this:

For a regular head unit, i would go with an alpine over pioneer. UNLESS your talking about the top end pioneer units.

I have a normal pioneer unit in my suby....it sucks, it's a pos. Kenwood makes some nice stuff too.

There is nothing wrong with the Pioneer 800PRS. In fact, it's one of the best headunits around for the money.

given if you go to walmart, all you can get are the crappy headunits... and what power are YOU talking about... anything over the 4X0 line has at least 4V preout of the RCAs

I'm only going to run stock size speakers, no amp and no subs besides the one behind the seat. Not going for power, going for clarity.
