i currently have a 10in bazooka bass tube behind the drivers seat. it doenst leave much room for adjustment in the seat but im short 5'7" so it works fine for me and sounds good. its not a competion system by any means but it gets the job done. im actually going to get an infinity basslink II tomarrow and see how that works. the dimensions for it will fit great 15"h 15"w 8"d so all thats left is to see what kind of sound it puts out. hopefully it will sound good as it has a 10" sub, a 10" passive radiator and a 250w rms amp so i will update when i get it in.

UPDATE! got the infinity bass link 2 in today and it is the perfect sub for the mr2 (aside from a custom built box) if you take the legs off, it sits perfectly behind the seat on top of the storage box. i just used the (t top seatbelt
) to hold it in place as i put both of my tops on the passanger side when there out. it leaves plenty of room to access the engine hood release (bazooka tube had to be pulled out) i can slide my seat all the way back and still get 2 clicks of reclinment from a straight up position, and the sound is loud and clear, not ground shaking or anything but great for all kinds of music (tested rock, rap, country, and a bit of techno). it works so well that i think im gunna buy another one for the passanger side as well (any ideas on where to put the ttops then ) now all thats left is to get the car back on the road and cruise. will post pics when i get her back on the road. |

i used my plastics but i had to find 87-89 speaker grills so that it would match the contours but if you can find the plastics with the grills its alot easier. the speakers are 3" and they make a big difference. I also added a 10" sub but i'm trying out different boxes to try and get the right sound because the space isn't very good.
