AMP Install Question
Threw an amp and 12 in sub into my two last night, and can not figure out for the life of me where to connect the amp remote wire...typically i would go off of the blue remote wire coming out of the head unit...no go....Head unit would not let me adjust the volume with it connected lke that.....
here is my question....i was going to connect it to the radio fuse in the driverside kick panel....if that is where it is, but i do not have a cover so i do not know what fuses are what...... any help or any ideas? |

you are supposed to connect it to the remote wire of your headunit so it turns on and off with your stereo.

R U calling me cheap? I'm not cheap, just thrifty sometimes. My head unit was top of the line when i bought it... two years ago. I just swapped the POS alpine Head unit, that came with the car, out with mine and bought a new box to fit the two and threw my 12 in.

Personally l would throw away the amp, reason ,if its having that effect on your head unit its drawing to much current. Something is definitely wrong. Be very careful. You could have a fire situation especially since you have connected it to a constant positive.
At worst you might find yourself with a dead battery.. Dont say l told you so. Do not bypass manufacurers recommendations. They are there for a reason. |

i've honestly never used the remote wire from the head unit...ever....just thought i would try it since its there....
i always wrapped it around the rad fuse. It shuts on and off with the car |
