Question - To those with painted interiors

Which type of black paint matches up "best" with the OEM black?

Matte Black?
Flat Black?
Gloss Black?

Looks like matte or gloss to me, but hard to tell. I don't really want to buy all 3 but I may have to & try it before I paint the piece I want to paint.

What I have is a Honda S2000 engine start button I want to install. But, I do NOT like the chrome bezel, it does not match up with my black & red interior scheme. So, I have taken the button apart, soldered in an LED (like I have done in the rest of my interior) & now want to paint that bezel black to match up.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Daniel

not sure of the difference between Matte and Flat. If all other colors are out of the question, I guess the matte black, though I think that is oem anyway.

Have you considered chrome or silver, or gold or bronze if you have gold or bronze wheels?

FWIW When I get new wheels, they will be powder coated black if they are not black when I buy them. Right now I am on OEM Wheels.

But, my color scheme for the MR2 is Red exterior with very light touches of Black & Black interior with light touches of Red. But, thanks for the suggestions.

I painted the trim surrounding my oem gauges red to match my car. That and a red leather shift boot is all I have for red accents in the car.

I think a flat black is always the best combo with any different black variations
