i suppose that too, but the crossover is a high pass filter for the tweeters so they don't receive low frequency info & blow up.

The purpose is to seperate the frequency ranges going to a driver. In this case it sends the treble frequencies which i think are 4000 hz up to 20000 hz to the tweeter and the midbass which is in my opinion 100 hz up to 4000 hz to the midbass lol. The purpose of seperating the frequencies is that a tweeter can't play bass frequencies and will only be damaged by them.
