Hidden Radar Detector?

So, I'm wondering if anyone has a hidden radar detector. I don't have one yet, but I'm trying to think about where a slick spot to place it would be. Coming from the Maxima forum, I remember a couple guys had theirs hidden, but still working.

So if anyone has pics, howto, thoughts or failed attempts, lets hear it!

Edit:
So i just measure the size of a V-1 3.5 x 4.6 x 1 (inches) and it looks like it would just fit where the clock is. granted, i would lose the clock, but thats what we have a cell phone for, right?

What about switching to a single din radio and mounting the radar in above/below that.

i was looking at that too especially since my stereo sucks (coming from a maximas Bose, this is tough). It would definitely give more working room, but i dunno. the 'james bond' appeal isnt there, ya know? but it might come down to that. id be quite surprised if no one here has done this yet...

^ There is a reason it has not been done. It interferes with your detector's ability to detect. For example, my brother has one mounted on the windshield. Very reliable radar detector that detects everything from law enforcement radaring to sensors on doors for convenient stores. However, it does have it's limits. If it is going off and you cover the sensor with your hand then it interferes with it.

Mounting one in the grill of your car would give you approximately 80* to 90* + of view in front. The only problem is knowing when it's going off. You'd have to have the sensor in the grill, but you'd want something in the cab to flash or beep when it goes off. You may also want one mounted behind you somehow, but I haven't thought of where to put it - maybe in the tail light assembly?

Anywhere other than on the dash get ready to get plenty of tickets because it's not effective at all. I say this because i know some one who did it.

Your only real effective options would be a remote mount V1 with a remote mount display or a remote sensor setup with front and back bumper mounts for around $1800.

Cut out a small piece of your dash (Size of radar detector)

then fabricate it so it can turn 360 degrees, after that just hook up the radar detector and run the wires through, that way when you drive you can have it on top, and when you park or a cop pulls you over you flip it over and it looks like the dash and no ones the wiser...lol

A james bond set up would be having the dash open some little doors and the radar detector rises up from inside the dash
(That would be cool but thats a lot of work to do that and I don't think anyone is going to)

How about gutting the dome light pod and hiding it in there?
