TRD or MR2???
Both of them are cool and would be awesome looking at night The only problem I see is non car knowing ppl will see me zipping past them and be like..."what was that? T...R...D" then the next day at work "Hey guys, I saw this cool car it was called TRD" then his buddies tell him he's stupid...lol but if you had the MR2 they'de be like "that car is nice, I think its called an M..R..2" I'll probably order 1 before the years over....got any Christmas special discounts?...lol |

^ Well, I have begun the process of R&D on the 94+ center panels. Incorporation of the logo's is in the works, so I would like to finish my designs before I simply hand over the pieces.
But we have been thinking about you. I figure you might like this for your show car and to help get your business a little more light: ![]() |

![]() I live a few hours from the Pacific in Portland. I used to drive to the beach a lot, but the days of $4 a gallon gas curbed that for the most part. Now that crude oil is $52.85 a barrel and dropping, I might have to go check out a sunset again. |

There is now another update to the name plates - they are now being powder coated rather than painted.
Since I have painted plates hanging around, these discontinued plates are up for grabs at a lower price of $80 for the entire kit. These are the MR2 plates only, the new turbo/TRD/SW20 plates are powdercoated. I am also selling off my "reject/experimental" plates. These plates mainly have blemishes in the paint (that's the only problem). These only apply to the MR2 plates also. These are $55 for the entire kit. The new powdercoated plates are still $120 Last edited by Ben; 11-23-2008 at 11:11 PM.. |

Hi Ben,
I want to buy one of your lit up MR2 plates. Question: Does the Indiglo blue match the Turquoise Pearl Metallic of my car? If it does, i want that color, otherwise, I want the blue. I will buy one of your prototypes, can I arrange to view it some time? I can give you my climate controls, and Hazard button at that time for the LED conversion. Chris |

The JDM green might be a close match, but it is a little different. I might have some time tomorrow morning if you want to see it then.

Yeah, the indiglo green is what I meant.
I don't think I can do it in the morning, but how does your evening look? I go to a class in the NW, which I think is near your house. My class starts at around 6:45 and is done at 8:00pm. I could stop buy before or after. Do I supply you with my existing Garnish ? |

I'll give you a call sometime tomorrow. You can give me your garnish and I can glue it for you - it might take about 2 days to dry though.

Ben, I decided that I am gong to CC to look at the car that we talked about yesturday. If its OK, can we push this back a day? The owner Jose, won't get home from work until around 4:30, so I am not sure what time I will get back to Reno, and I will be cutting it close to make it to my class in the NW part of Reno.
Also, do you do custom plates? I was thinking that eventually, I am going to want one that says "MV8R" of course, that is assuming the thing is going to fit..... |

Yes, that's correct
its a play on the Sard car they called MC8R which is technically the first mk2 v8 car in the world. That car was pretty much tube frame and a non-street driven race car only. IF (big if) I can get mine working/running/driving then mine will be the first v8 Street driven mk2 in the world. |

Illuminated Name Plates
Can you post a picture of one of the rejects/experimental plates? You don't need to put it on a car. A picture from about 4 feet away would be good. I just want to see how they look from a normal viewing distance.
