You won't find anything even remotely close to as good as the Dayton 10" subs for the price that we sell them for. These subs put out a tremendous amount of clean bass and require very little airspace making them perfect for the MR2.

Subs here:
Dayton RSS265HO-4 10 Reference HO Subwoofer - $99.99 : EMSPowered, High Quality, Great Service, Low Prices

Custom MR2-specific enclosures here:
MR2 Custom Subwoofer Encloser MR2 Custom Subwoofer Encloser [] - $39.99 : EMSPowered, High Quality, Great Service, Low Prices

At the very minimum you want something that will push 200W RMS to the sub. To push the sub to its maximum output you would need something can push around 550-700 RMS to the sub.

I haven't heard or tried anything behind the seat...I have one Kicker cvr 8" up front and it sounds really good...This spring I may try it behind the seat but for now I'm happy with it up front

That is one our customer's cars. It's a white widebody with lots of work done to it. I think they're USDM seats recovered in custom suede.

i went the easy route. Placed a 10" bazooka tube behind my passenger seat. Maybe i will buy another and put one behind mine... but that would mean i would have to put the t-tops in the trunk...

Take a look at the pictures on our website. Even with our sub boxes installed you can still put the TTOPS behind the seats.

It's all give and take. You can still store the ttops behind the seats with our enclosure design, but yes, it will muffle the sound a little. Otherwise you can store them in the trunk, the ttops fit nicely in the trunk as well as long as you either put them in the OEM pouches or put a piece of pad in between them.
