options for replacing auto shifter knob '87

Hello,
the auto shift knob in my '87 non turbo has broken. the button on top fell out. are there any after marke solutions? it has the switch on the side and the selector lock out button on top. thanks.

No after-market solution for an auto tranny that I know of. I suggest that you look in the For Sale section of this board & see if you see someone parting out a 84-89 that has an auto tranny. Maybe look in local junkyards or eBay or Craig's-List for the part too.

FWIW The turbo model MR2's were only made from 91-95 in the USA & 90-99 in Japan & Europe (mark2 designation). Yours being an 87 is either an n/a or super-charged model (mark1 designation).

Use a computer joystick, and keep the buttons on it. Use an AVR/PIC to program them to do things like control the radio, wipers, or frunk-mounted miniguns/rocketlaunchers.

there are some shifters where you just push down on the whole knob. and it will let you change to p R D 2 L whatever you want. google search automatic shifter knobs... and some things will pop up. xD it did for me. ^^
