Wiring in sub to amp
Can some tell/show me how to wire in (1) 10" 4ohm sub (EMS Dayton) to a Rockford fosgate (P325.1) amp?
I just want to run 1 sub to this amp. The manual shows how to wire in (1) sub @ 2ohms and how to wire in (2) subs @ 4ohms each (8ohms). Here is the manual (pdf.file). http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftec...chMono-MAN.pdf Thanks |

The amp is a mono block amp, meaning it only outputs in mono or has one channel output, the reason it has two paired terminals is for easy of wiring and installation. Both A and B terminals are connected together, so the diagram showing only one speaker connected is how you'd set your sub up. The reason it show's a 2ohm sub or two 4ohm subs is because the lowest ohm load you can put on the amp is 2ohms (two 4ohm subs parallel will yield a 2ohm load)....

Thanks for the insight LoverofMR2s.
I thought i was misinterpreting the diagram. So i can just hook up the sub to either A or B terminals and i will be fine then. |
