Another cup holder location
Thought this might be a good place for a cupholder. I used a Celica cupholder from the boneyard, built a bracket, and mounted it under the passenger seat.

Had it made at a local laser job shop using my drawings. I thought about selling a kit, but I picked the local bone yard clean of Celica cupholders. All I got left are the brackets. Maybe i can find another junk yard.

What year of celica did you get that from? And how hard is it to rip out? I kinda like to have something to put my morning coffee in.

Well my only passenger is my wife, so I guess it's okay.
Great job! Name the year for the Celica and how much for the brackets? |

I've got a couple of brackets left that i could let go for $18 plus shipping. This includes left and right stainless steel brackets, spacers, screws for the plastic and screws for the sheet metal. I'll try to get a picture of what what is important for fitment. Last edited by surfer8; 02-03-2009 at 09:16 PM.. |

Here's a picture of the important part. The holes are about 2.4" center to center. Notice that they are not level to each other.
One of the cupholders did not have the holes in the center of the pins. I had to drill the holes on that one, but it worked fine after that. ![]() Last edited by surfer8; 02-16-2009 at 11:54 PM.. Reason: spelling |

Looks way better than mine, i realized after i started to mount mine off of the f-350 that it's a lot thicker that those posted, so its in a crappy spot
![]() Also it's the type where the two arms fold into it and spring out when you slide it out, and when you stick a large coffee in there, it always tips to one side, especially as soon as you turn a corner ![]() |

If you mount the cupholder as shown in this picture it will be level when it is installed in the car.
