Well there are a bunch of places for car audio in texas, but im not so sure about where you live. Just try looking on craigslist, and call places that are in the phone book.

Especially with certain sub boxes, and high end brands, and if you go to a shop like futureshop, where the guys are making commission they are making massive commissions on stuff like infinity or the other high end stuff. To the OP, if i were you i'd go to a dedicated car audio shop and ask them about what works, lots of times they've done stuff like that so they can help you out big time. Also watch out for which speaker you get if you're getting those thin subs, because some of them really suck, the last time i listened to one in a demo room, it was a pioneer one and it just couldn't handle the big bass and sounded like 5hit. My system is pretty loud, there is a LOT of bass, but I can still hear the song pretty good. Also I think my mr2 has dynomat or somethin, I cant hear the bass outside of the cockpit haha, but when you get inside you cant hear anything outside haha

it's the car design, hardly any sound gets out. it's common with small cars/trucks

To the OP. If you are going to put a sub between the seats, you can only realy fit an 8" sub. 10" would technicaly fit between the seats, but would leave no room for box.
I have built the box you are talking about |

I want to put in some 6x9's like that^ if you do that it's not necessary to have a sealed box, or really any nice materials is it?

you should probably use a sealed box with the 6x9's. What little bass there is will sound much better. Those boxes are made with 1/2 MDF and have stuffing on the inside walls. like you would find in a pillow.
