Audio Wiring

Ok,

my 1st request for assistance is for identifying the audio wiring. I haven't had a stereo in the car since i bought it at the beginning of the year, as the previous owner removed his. There is no connector block, just bare wires. 7 in total.
They are:
1 Yellow
1 Red
1 Black
1 Green
1 White
1 Blue
1 Brown

I can't find any useful info anywhere on the 'net to identify these, and the manuals i have seem to have totally different colour configurations. My car is a 'G' reg.
Does anyone have any info on the colours?

Thanx in advance

I took the car for MOT yesterday ( it's actually a MK1 ). It passed with flying colours !! While i was at the garage i asked the guy to check the wiring.

Blue - Permanent live
Green - Switched live
Brown - Earth

The other 4 wires were the front speakers + and -, redundant as i installed new front AND rear speakers with new cabling.
Strange how none of the service manuals or sites like this one could help me. All the wire colours and configurations i've seen for a G registered MK1 were totally different to mine, even though the mechanic says the loom is the original one.

1 job down.....

A UK car with a registration of 'G' was registered in 1989. So my MR2 is a 1989 MK1
