anyone ever heard of this? sounds similar to the hks vpc with a few more features...

Yup, it's basically a more capable VPC. It would take a lot longer to setup though. You have to map out airflow to RPM/MAP combinations before you can even start tuning.

i read that a few people are using it and are pretty happy with it... my question is that since the map-ecu2 has fuel tuning and timing control wouldn't that make it a pretty safe piggy back? before i saw this i was going to go the safc and adjustable fuel pressure regulator route... if this can replace those 2 parts and tune my car safely i might just get it... and i do have a wideband on the way right now...

The SAFC is worthless. Don't bother.
This MIGHT be okay. I simply don't have experience with it. You might want to take a look at the SMT6. It has some neat features at a very reasonable price. Weasy sells them. |
