Wow, old one. I've used Haltech quite a bit. Their E8 is one of the better bangs for the buck in the EMS world today! There are no plug-and-play boxes for this that are sold, so you have to be decent at wiring. I'm quite the fan of what Haltech has delivered given the price they ask for it.

I believe Tuner-Deals.com, Online Store has a Haltech E8 plug and play kit (or package, not sure) available for the MR2 so you can save yourself the nightmare and hassle of building a harness for it. Not a bad price too. (I don't work for the website. I simply just saw it while browsing the "other" forum.)

Ive used Microtech LT-8 with My gen 2 3SGTE I did'nt bump into any problems at all. The only thing I will tell you is make sure that if you go "Full Standalone" it's "
Worth your Wild" Meaning if you burnt out your stock ECU for example and don't you don't want to go that route again like me, Or if you know its going to be a dedicated race car, other then that just stick to "Plug and Play" Ill give you another example im no "pro" at wiring so I took my MR2 to a very known local shop here in orlando they wired it up and all but the work was sloppy considering you spent all that money. So again make a plan stick to but stay away from Standalone's if you can unless your doing a full build. hope that help's.
