I have a question about the VPC... I was looking for ROM's for it and found that the one I have has the 93-95 chip in it(SW20T18) so does that mean if used that chip in my gen2 with 540cc injectors it will work?

Any of these compatible with an add on SC unit?
I've been kinda spoiled with the easy-tune Mustang stuff for the last several years. |

Sorry guys, but this is such an old school approach to the subject of interceptors (piggy backs). Check out some of the new technology offerings, things have changed..
Consider for instance a stock Gen3 D-tronic ECU upgrade teamed with a MAP ECU2, such an arrangement will give full control & flexibility to the stock ECU plus an almost endless list of options..a lot of which some standalones just don't have. The old arguments about MAF based fuel controllers and piggybacks in general, like 14" rims...belong in the trash bin. |

what are your views on the emanage blue.. Im using it with both harness's and map sensor and it seems to get the job done well. Given it doesnt have as many features as the ultimate but its affordable, especially if you get it used.
I spent blue box + air/fuel harness- $180 timing harness- $41.50 Greddy map sensor- $45 on ebay new with harness tuning was $250 A total of $516.50 I got the software for free but I didnt use my lp top to adjust or tune anything the tuner had it all. I am also looking into making software cable that is usb-usb and is compatible to connect with the unit. |

Doesn't the safc2 now have knock detection? For the price ive found some for 150, doesn't seem to bad. Il be on stock turbo and injectors for a while and just looking to lean it out some. The other products are just not cost effective what I'm looking for.

We have tuned 3 different vehicles with the AEM FIC, unfortunately non of them were MR2's. The system is nice, user friendly and has full fuel and ignition tables and all the tuning we did turned out great. definately a great bang for the buck.

Guys the MAP ECU3 is here, same price (695) and some nice upgrades to an already comprehensive list:
- USB Interface - Optional WiFi Interface - Built-in 42PSI MAP Sensor - More fully programmable inputs and outputs - Advanced Launch Control - Advanced NOS(tm) Control - 2 x FCD's - SCD - Boost Control - Lean Boost Retard - O2/AFR Sensor Adjust - Auxiliary Injector Contro I know, not a lot of guys are familiar with the MAP ECU, being NZ based, but the system has so much to offer, it's too good to pass by without giving it a good look over. Run it on a gen2 with the AFM, or ditch the AFM and run it MAP based using the internal MAP sensor, or run it with a gen3 ECU upgrade and save the cost of a gen3 MAP sensor. You can run it in learn mode with the AFM in place to created a base map before switching to MAP based, and you will have a base map tailored to your VE upgrades (with a bit of manual in-fill needed). A support forum is available for help and some 3SGTE base maps are available for download as well. I'm not connected with it in any way, just getting it out there...check it out. : PERFORMANCE MOTOR RESEARCH LTD : |
