Sweet! You bought that one? That's awesome! Very nice man. That is the highest VIN sequence for a 95 that I know of, so until we find a higher one, you have the last turbo brought to the States for that year model. Congrats on the purchase. We're all jealous.

Is this the one once owned by the dealer principal of one of the stores in Florida ? Stitched seats and painted wheels ?

Canadam –
You are correct on which car this is. Although one of the first project for this car is to get the yellow paint of the wheels, it’s just not my style.

A little FYI for anyone interested
Back in 1995 my wife gave me a 1995 NA MR-2 for our 10-year anniversary, it to Solar Yellow. At the time my wife was working at Lexus in the distribution department so she had visibility of all Lexus & Toyota cars and trucks. So when she saw the last MR-2 logged off the ship in long beach she flagged it for herself. I however foolishly got rid of it 18 months later, I guess I was looking for something else. I quickly realized the mistake I had made and have spent the last 5 plus years looking for just the right car to get. As it turns out the car I found is most likely the last MR-2 sold by a dealer, the Florida Toyota dealer originally sold it in August of 1999.

AllShotup –
Is that Mars Hill, N.C. by any chance? I left the car at my house in Hendersonville, hopefully by next summer I will be living in N.C. full time but for now I am spending most of my time in CA.

Awesome, that's a beautiful car.

One owner with a yellow 93T in British Columbia claims that the paint on those wheels is an extremely rare factory option, but as far as I know it is a customization done by the owner/dealership.

If you do find that it truly is a rareity, FWIW, keep the wheels and find another set for your car. Although, I don't believe this is the case.

Sounds like you have the perfect wife Congratulations on now owning one of the most beautiful MR2s out there Would you mind adding your car to the low mileage registry ? http://www.mr2board.com/forums/gener...t=low+registry

Do you possibly have the VIN of the 95 you had before? I'm trying to track all of the 95 MR2s. I haven't come accross any yellow 95 NAs yet. http://www.mr2board.com/forums/mk2-v...-research.html

BTW, how did you find the board?

Nctunal –
I found this site do to someone else listing it on Miata.net, I also have a very early ’90 miata & a ’04 LS.

Also for the ’95 NA vin, when I am back at my North Carolina home over the Holidays I will look through some old paper work and see what I can dig up.

Here are a few pics...

Also if anyone is interested there were 382 MR-2's sold in the US (excluding Hawaii) in 1995. So far I have been unable to get a break down between NA's & Turbo's.

I paid $19,400.00 that price included $2.500.00 in needed service. Before purchasing the car I had it inspected by the same dealership that had originally sold it and they are the ones that came up with the list of items necessary.

As for what I paid it was too much if you look at it as just an MR-2 Turbo w/57K on it. However I spent the last 5+ years looking for a Solar Yellow Turbo in very good ~ excellent condition, so in the end price really was not the driving issue.

For a '92 with 57K on it you may have paid *a little* too much, but for a '95 you're right on par. To find the colour you want in a perfect car is just an unbelievable bonus. Most people are just lucky enough to find such a perfect example.

Painted wheels were never an option, that's aftermarket.
