1991 N/A Sunroof JT2SW21M7M0004940
Date aquired
Aug. 2001 Car's location at time of purchase Chino, CA Other locations if known Montclair, CA Color & Door Tag Info Prod. 05/90 Crimson Red (repainted Super Red for 94+ tail center section match) C/TR: 3J6/FF22 A/TM: -692/S54 Model: SW21L-ACMZKA Mileage 184,510 - current 135,xxx - when purchased Condition Disassembled for engine swap Body condition is good, but some interior parts are showing their age from the harsh summer sun and time. Many new parts have been sourced from a 1995 parts car interior. Additional Details This is my primary MR2, which was totaled out after being rear ended in a parking lot by a Tahoe at less than 5 mph. There is no frame damage, but the other party's insurance felt the need to total it out in order to free themselves of any further liability. Damage was limited to the trunk lid and center sheetmetal. This is why I wish the ways in which totaling out cars should be reformed. There is no current way to determine the amount of damage done to a car just by its title alone. It can be extremely mild, such as mine, or extremely severe like others. Is it really salvaged/totaled, or does the insurance company just want you out of their hair? It's a great car, and I'm looking forward to the performance of my ported, rebuilt 1MZ. |
