1994 NA Hardtop - JT2SW21M5R0021369
Date aquired
Oct 28, 2004 Car's location at time of purchase Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin Other locations if known Corpus Christi, Texas Kaneohe, Hawaii Color & Door Tag Info Steel Mist Grey Mileage Approximately 119,000 Condition Average Additional Details I first discovered this car on www.xcars.com on September 28, 2004. It was listed as having a previous salvage title, but the title was cleared after a rebuild and state inspection in Wisconsin. The dealer had purchased the car from a salvage auction in Texas. According to the Carfax report (see attached word document), the flood damage salvage title was issued in Texas. The initial registration for this MR2 was in Hawaii, and possibly made it's way to the mainlain with a military owner. I recieved the car from the shipping company toward the end of October 2004. The damage from the flood was not bad. Very little had been done to the car for the inspection, and generally speaking, it doesn't take much for a car to get a flood title. The car was completely stock except for some old audio equipment. I took out everything that could be easily removed from the car and gave it a very thorough cleaning. I spent several days on this project and the car cleaned up very well. I drove it for about 3 months until I sold it to another enthusiast in Atlanta on January 14, 2005. The new owner used the car for a V6 project and that is it's current state as of this writing. I liked the car alot and plan to possibly reaquire it if the current owner ever decides to sell it. 94 MR2 hardtops are about as rare as it gets. I'd grade the car above average at the time I sold it, and it's on it's way to being an excellent MR2.
