1995 Turbo T-Top - JT2SW22N2S0097029 *Total loss*
This was a white 95 Turbo I came accross on eBay. It was a flood damaged Hurrican Katrina car and it unfortunately took quite a beating.
This MR2 was owned by Jeff Bihn, who was very well known in the MR2 community several years ago (not in a good way). At any rate, I wanted to post details of this car since I feel fairly certain that it will resurface someday. In the event that it does, buyer beware. Here is an archived copy of the ebay ad. I'm amazed that it brought $5850. That's a prett big gamble in my opinion.http://www.mr2board.com/files/mr2/mk2/95/95-097029.htm

a lot of money to be put in that car. It simply needs to be rebuilt and cleaned......from the ground up.

I almost went for it because it was cheap, but thought about what kind of damage the flood may have cause and decided against it.

Wouldn't be TOO bad if you could rebuild the motor yourself, and rebuild the wiring harness and whatnot. I bet it could be cleaned up real nice with some tender love and care

I remember looking at this car, and inquiring about interior photos, engine photos, etc.... This guy always had an excuse, "I didnt bring the key", "My camera battery died", "trunk latch was frozen".... I never got my interior photos or engine photos and then the price jumped. I hope the new owner gets it done nice, that said, ill be suspect if it shows up for sale with an engine transplant....

Guess there's a sucker born every minute, even nowadays. The worst thing about flood cars is the wiring and conduit corrosion. That's pretty much a fatal wound unless you want to pay 3 times what the car is worth to fix it and even then it's never the same.
