Everythings been shipped as of this morning. 1-08-07. Again I apologize for the delay, there was some sort of hold-up on the shipment of the lights, which I have asked them to stock a greater humber of lamps so this shouldn't be an issue in the future. If you haven't gotten your kit or tracking number within a day or so please let me know and I will send it to you directly. It's supposed to update sender and receiver automatically. Thanks again for your patience.
Hello everyone, I am happy to announce that we have recently become the authorized dealer for the revision 6 headlamps. If you do not know what these are then look Here: Sorry. Due to lack of interest and the resulting inability to get large bulk rates on shipping and product I have had to increase the price of the kits slightly with the exception of the HID kit, because I have a little more leverage with my distributor on those. I apologize but I can't make people insterested. If you've already paid I will honor your price as long as we get over 5 buyers, shipping shoots way up on individual orders. (12-3-06) Low Rise Kit only: Revision 6 low-rise kit. Includes conversion loom from H7 to H9. Shroud and kit housing. No lamps or lamp housings included. All mounting hardware, i.e. simple install. All shipping (insured), taxes etc... from the UK. I am offering it complete to your door for $550. It is a high quality kit with Hella lamps. The kit I am initially offering includes: Revision 6 low rise kit. 2x 90mm Hella Low beams (H9 - projector). 2x 90mm Hella High Beams (H9 - freeform). All mounting hardware, i.e. simple install. All shipping (insured), taxes etc... from the UK. I am offering it complete to your door for $775. Also I am offering an upgraded kit that includes: Revision 6 low rise kit. 2x 90mm Hella Xenon Low beams (HID - projector) 2x 90mm Hella High Beams (H9 - freeform). All mounting hardware, i.e. easy install. All shipping (insured), taxes etc... from the UK. I am offering it complete to your door for $1700. I can also source other Hella Lamps such as the Xenon High beam and the Xenon High/Low in one unit. However these are special order items and I wanted to get a buy going on what I felt would be the 2 most popular combinations. If you are interested in different Hella lamps let me know and we can put together a kit to suit your needs. Also, understand that Xenon High Beam HIDs are may NOT be legal for Highway use and that the High/Low module has a larger housing and may pose fitment issues (If someone knows FOR SURE, please post the info and I will update this). E-mail me if you want further details and check local laws regarding aftermarket lighting before ordering. Hella High Intensity Discharge lamps: True HID, not a conversion kit. 2.5 light output over regular H9 bulbs. 8x life over regular H9 bulbs. Better color, beam focus and cutoff. What I require from people wanting this product is: 1. Post only if you are truely interested and ready with payment (don't pay yet), as this isn't an interest thread. 2. Understand that I will require pre-payment through Paypal. 3. These prices are assuming greater than 5 kits are being ordered, its the best way to get a break on shipping from the UK. 4. The prices including shipping assumes shipping anywhere to the lower 48 states. I am happy to ship anywhere, even internationally, if you are willing to make up the difference. 5. This buy will run for 2-3 weeks or until we get at least 20 orders, will basically have to judge when interest has peaked and when to order. 6. Understand that I am working 50-80 hours a week as well as travelling. Please be patient if I don't answer posts/e-mails right away. I hope to have additional pictures of the kits installed soon. Thank you for your time. Last edited by Kurdain; 01-08-2007 at 04:35 PM.. |

I'll be first on the list for a non-HID version.

Shipping goes up significantly if ordering under 5 and way more if shipping them individually. Other than that I will offer these as long as there's interest. Quote:
HID's take more hardware and are generally brighter and much newer technology. The best thing to do is look up the product information on the Hellas H9's and the Hella Xenon's. Hella Xenons are a true HID as well. Therefore they are much more expensive than regular bulb style lights. Compare prices of Hellas HID's vs. Hella H9's on other websites and the difference is the same. Not much I can do, and trust me I tried. Quote:
Yes, you can replace the H9 lamps with any standard Hella 90mm module. I am sure other 90mm modules would work as well but I can only vouch for the Hellas. The end result is that you would have 2 left over lamps most likely. Personally I would go with a H9 kit and leave it at that rather than source cheap HID's in such a nice kit. I'm not selling the kit individually however, I want to get the people complete kits first, then I can consider doing something else. Hopefully by then I won't be working 60-80 hour 6 day weeks. Quote:
I tried to source lamps straight from Hella but they needed around $15000 total buy in, and I need to move $10,000/yr in sales or I lose it. Personally I will probably go with 4x HID's, which is very expensive. I appreciate the feedback, but I would really like the thread to stay on track so I can easily compile a list of people who are buying a kit and which one. Have you thought about just using the H9 projectors and then offering a H9 HID kit as an option? The H9 housings are already designed for very high light output, so the cutoff and light dispersion is still top notch. That's how my HID Rev6 came, and the price was considerably less.
On another note, congrats on becoming the US distributor! Todd |

The light dispersion and cutoff is no longer guaranteed, and if you blind someone you are liable. Also placing a HID bulb into a non-HID housing voids Hellas warranty. I wont risk doing either. As far as Hella HIDs they are a True High Intensity Discharge light: They put out roughly 2.5 times the light in a more focused pattern. Cutoff is better. The color is around 4300 Kelvin, sort of 1/2 way between white and blue. The bulbs typically last 8 times longer than a standard H9 bulb. I hope this answers some of the questions. |

This is an option that anyone who wants HID can do. Just purchase the base Revision6 Kit, and source your own HID solution for around 300 bucks. |

Not on how to do it better/cheaper/faster. Yes there are cheap versions out there but as I mentioned multiple times now it is not legal in the USA to put a HID solution into a non-HID housing. Also it voids Hellas warranty and propbably the HID manufacturers warranty as well. I don't know where you are going to find 4, True, High Intensity Discharge lamps for 300 bucks. I am offering this as a HIGH quality kit, not something I will have to warranty 3 times over because of cheap parts. Again I am trying to keep this thread on track. Thank you. Quote:

I didn't see this mentioned in the first post, but are these going to be RHD dip beams, or LHD? I think it's rather important..

Later on I could probably do something for RHD, right now I am trying to keep it simple. Quote:
Hellas a great lamp, I don't have a date/price on ofering the low rise kit seperately. Trying to keep it simple with my extremely limited time...I'm travelling so I am answering these posts in coffee shops and airports... No deposit now. Pre-pay when the kits are ready to go, around 2-3 weeks I am planning. As in first post its a little dependant on order numbers as shipping costs drop a lot on 20 unit quantities. |

Actually you never stated anywhere that you had looked at a H9 HIDs as an option and I was only informing you that they exist and could be used. You did say you were open to feedback, before you edited your post, and I was just trying to help.
The H9 housings are actually rated for D2S bulbs as well as the H9, it states it right on the projector next to being approved by the DOT. This is not speculation, as I already own the kit. The only difference is the backing plate used between the 2 units and the D2S bulb is 1mm farther back in the housing. The light cutoff and dispersion difference is too difficult to tell the difference with the naked eye between the housings. Also, the bi-xenon lights will not fit with the shrouds on as they are physically larger than the standard H9 high beam housing. The lights most likely will not retract either if using the bi-xenon housing. You can see what I mean in this pic (my bumper is removed and the shrouds are off in this pic): The H9 housings will work for either RHD or LHD. You just have to move the screw located at the back of the housing one hole over, loosen the 2x screws on the side, and rotate the housing. Tighten screws and enjoy. I'm not sure about the HID housings. Be safe on your travels, Todd |
