Bedell Racing SW20 MK II MC brace $85
Delivery time is estimated to be around the 2nd week of January, depending on the powder coater and holiday schedule. I have 47 of these fabricated and available. The last batch sold out in just a few days, Secure yours today!********************
I am having 10 red, 10 silver and 27 black braces made up. They will be dropped off at the powder coater December 19th. Bedell Racing introduces one of the necessary brake upgrades to your mkII, the original 3 mounting point master cylinder brace. This master cylinder brace not only helps pedal feel but can actually help you brake more accurately by modulating and controlling the brake pedal with accuracy. This is similar to using stainless steel brake lines as they both reduce pedal "squishiness" that is common in cars, especially older cars. Upon hard braking, your master cylinder actually moves off the firewall. It is so extreme that you can easily see it with the naked eye. This master cylinder brace reduces firewall flex by an amazing 80% down to only .008" which is basically no longer noticeable without a dial indicator. *edit* I just tested this with a digital dial indicator on my 93 MKII turbo. .077 & .072 with right & left foot. Movement was measured with me sitting. My wife pressed the pedal and got .022 measurement. The 3rd leg stabilizes the brace and no longer allows any upward/downward movement and hardly any forward movement any more. In extreme cases, there have actually been master cylinders on Toyotas that have completely been ripped off the firewall due to excess pressure during racing. If you race your mkII,or do any spirited driving this master cylinder brace is a must for your performance upgrades. These braces are available powdercoated in RED, BLACK and Silver. Please specify upon payment. The braces bolt in to stock bolt hole locations, so no drilling or anything other than a few small hand tools are needed. All needed hardware comes with your master cylinder brace. The original plastic surround in the frunk can be used with very minor trimming. Remember, this is the original tri-mounting master cylinder brace for the MKII. Accept no substitutes. Customer reviews of the brace can be found here: *pending* ******************Pre-purchase, delivery time is estimated to be around the 2nd week of January, depending on the powder coater and holiday schedule. The MC is a little device that holds your master brake cylinder in place and keeps it from moving. The result is better braking and doesn't feel so sluggish.
Guys, this thread is almost 2 years old but he might have some, who knows. |
