Rev6 Pre-Order - June 18th order date!

Shooting for a June 18th order date!!!
Please place orders and even up payments by then.

Thank you.

All,
Some of the issues in the past is that sometimes it takes quite a while to put together enough orders to get a break on shipping. Also when it comes time for payment sometimes people are out of town, busy, whatever and it delays orders.

So after getting a couple PM's about people 'reserving' a kit for the future group buy I thought it might be a good idea to give people the opportunity to reserve a kit for the future group buy, which I plan to place my order in 4 weeks.

So I am opening up the possibility of people to reserve and pay for a kit early, just UNDERSTAND I won't even be ordering the kits for several weeks.

Also 1 side benefit if I had a lot of orders early, and more coming in, I could order a larger number of kits at once, and I could drop the prices a little, as long as the exchange rate doesn't slide a bunch. And also possibly I could pre-order lights and have them on hand to get everyones kits out a little sooner. It all depends on interest.

Also I am working on a better HID price from Hella.
Also I will be offering a total HID package (HID highs and lows), special order only, OFF ROAD ONLY, option and I can discuss offline, not in this thread as its a 1-off item.

Prices and items remain as before:

Basic kit, comes with everything you need except lights.
You will need to source your own 90mm lights.
$575 including shipping and insurance.

H9 kit which uses the same quality Hella lights as before.
H9 high and low beams.
$800 including shipping and insurance.

HID kit which uses the same quality Hella lights as before.
H9 high beams and HID low beams.
$1700 including shipping and insurance.

Please paypal red_firebird_78@yahoo.com and specify which kit you want, make sure your mailing address and other information is correct. Include your board name as well please.

A GOOD article on HID lighting: CLICK HERE

Link to old thread which answers many questions: CLICK HERE

Basic pictures of the kit: CLICK HERE

IF I EVER get TIME I will post pics of my HID kit installed....if I ever get it installed!

Basic advantages of Hella lights:

In a nut shell in my opinion Hella makes some of the best lights around, the same technology that makes these lamps survive 140+ mph across the roughest terrain in the Baja 1000 and light up the night like the sun is the same that goes into the 90mm modules and all their products.

Details:
Free form: Uses 50,000 reflector points in the lens to focus and precisely direct the light, therefore the reflector is left alone to reflect the light and thus can be optimized as such. This results in a much more even spread pattern, almost no stray light (i.e. wasted). Hella Free Form lamps produce up to 3 times the illumination of ordinary lights.

Projector Lamps: An elliptical reflector directs the light into a focusing lens which then bundles it and projects it onto the road, while a shield positioned between the lens and reflector produces a very defined, and precise cutoff. This results in twice the light output with little scattering or loss. (Ideal for low beams).

Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID): The ultimate in lighting, providing 2.5 times the intensity of halogen lights with only 35W consumed. The Xenon capsules are 70% brighter at a color close to natural sunlight (whiting/blue).
They also typically last 8 times longer than regular halogen bulbs.
The whole lamp is a designed system to achieve the best results.

Quality: All Hella lamps are manufactured in a defect free environment resulting in blemish free reflectors and lenses.
All lights are subject to 5 hours of simulated off-road driving, simulating the shock and abuses typically seen.
For 1 hour the lights are thermal cycled between -40F and +176F to stress temperature extremes.
For 1 hour the headlamps are sprayed with water at 58 PSI to simulate driving in torrential rain.

As before if you want to take BEFORE and AFTER pics of your car, especially the differences in performance lighting, I will host your 800x600 med to high quality .jpg on our website. Just make sure the size of the pics are under a few hundred Kb.

Im still trying to find out if the low hid and 9 high beam are legal in Australia. ANYONE ?
ALSO WILL YOU GET THE SERIES 4 BALLAST ?
Does any one have experience with these lights in the rain as most lights are contained in an enclosure. Water will be going on straight on the Hella lamp.
I honestly think the shroud should have totally encapsulated the hella lights ? Can this be done ?

Does that have an effect on the lights, with the water hitting them and all?

Any way you want to do it.
I am looking for people to pre-pay at least 25% or more of their order.
The larger and more pre-orders the better, if I get a ton I'll make the time to put together another buy sooner, times an issue right now .

I can not answer the legality of the lights in Australia, although I doubt you would have an issue unless the officer was having a bad day. It is completely up to you to make sure though.
The water will be hitting the lights directly, however Hella lamps are designed for this. Another reason to use high quality lamps, if you read the lower portion of the post it specifies:

"Quality: All Hella lamps are manufactured in a defect free environment resulting in blemish free reflectors and lenses.

It is a non issue. Its a sealed unit, as long as you don't break the lamp or not seat the bulb correctly you'll be fine. They are VERY nice lights.

Series 4 ballast? Not sure what you mean here, HID versions come with a specific ballast for the light. It's a sealed unit as well.

Thanks for the return msg. Hella has upgraded the Ballast for their HID to series 4. Even safer and longer and thinner wirers. Looking at going with HID on low and 9 on high

Yeah.
The exchange rate is the primary reason, it was went up against the USD about 21 cents per dollar since a year ago. Pretty large change.

Its a awesome unit. I have a set for my kit if/when I ever get to put it in.

Let me know.
I am considering stepping this buy up a little earlier if I can get things together. Work is chaotic at best, starting to get annoying.

How long will you be doing this GB? I'd love to get 2 of these, but holding off for some other things right now.

I am shooting to place and order and recieve shipment of the Rev6 kits around the end of June.

Ironically the 3 people that messaged me about pre-ordering haven't pre-ordered...

Anyways.
Anyone can order their kits now, I just wanted to give people a longer amount of time to make payment, but didn't want to list it as a 'current buy' since it would be a while yet and I didn't want to mislead anyone.

I will need payment in full before I place the orders, which will be around middle of June.

Please make payment if you want a kit.

Many people are 'interested' but when if comes to purchase it is a different story.
If you would like to reserve a kit now, it would be helpful in being able to gauge how many kits I need to import.

Thank you,
