Possible group buy. NA 5SFE Intakes
I was thinking about making a Short ram air/basic cold air intake for my MR2 but I have to buy the pipe in 15" sections, and I figured that if I was gonna build one for myself and have extra pipe, maybe if enough people want in on it, I can make 8 or so intakes. if no one is interested then I can just make one for myself and use the left over pipe for something else. it will be approximately 3" in diameter with a welded on thingy for you to bolt it on for support.
there is a similar intake out on the market right now, but I think it's like $100 or something. |

I started a GB interest on this awhile back. I had a few interested but it was over a period of months. In the end I decided it wasn't really worth the time. You're welcome to dig that post up and contact those members to see if they are still interested.

I'm interested. 100 or less, definately on board. And I have the money now, so no waiting. I've been wanting one for a while.

the design will be similar to this but with an all metal construction and hopefully straighter. I'm still trying to find the best fit for it.

Steel. I can check on the prices of aluminum if I can get it cheap enough like the steel then I can do it. but I'm not sure.

I'd highly recommend aluminum, much better for intakes, keeps the air cooler and more importantly wont rust which will be a problem for anyone in humid areas.

I'm curious. Why would aluminum be cooler?

Intake design is pretty much done. I'm going to be doing some test fitments and some sound tests too make sure it fits with no problems and make sure it doesn't sound ricey nor like crap.
