no kidding but why cant we be??? I think a huge meet up like that at Indy speedway would be an excellent location. the northeastern part of the US is hot for MR2s. Indy would connect mid-America and the east coast. Probably would cost out the wazzooo getting that track for a day.

Actually we have already started planning something. Another owner and myself have began the groundwork and will be releasing a website soon to support it. The UK also has the record for the largest meet (i believe 1033 MR2s all in one spot) The 296 record was for total number of MR2s in a caravan longer than 2 miles. If you keep and eye on our groups website www.JaxMR2s.com and we'll annouce the new website, which should launch in a couple of weeks. I'll also annouce on here. Its about time the title came back to the U.S.

1. I agree it would be nice to have a huge meet. It seems MR2 owners are segregated so to speak. I see plenty, and most 2 owners are friendly, but getting them to a meet is another thing.
I also have a 300ZX, and meets / shows often turn out 200+ cars...and on top of that this occurs at multiple shows yearly across the US...with a national convention every year seeing 500+ for over a decade. I wish MR2 owners would get on the same wagon!

2. Coincidentally and BTW, the Indy Z club rents the inside of the track yearly, and usually only has around 50-100 cars show up, so it must not be that expensive.

Another good central place for a meet is at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville. This is pretty much the only "import biased" car museum I know of and they allow meets there - so many car clubs use this is an event for meets. The only catch of course is that hotels are expensive in the area and traffic can be a mess. Where I don't want to ever go for another meet with any of my cars?...the Dragon (obviously).
