MR2 Beach Meet in Florida Sept 29th!

Just as the subject says! -- Its time for that MR2 meet that everyone has been waiting for....

Date will be Saturday, Sept. 29th and we will meet up at 11am at Fort Desoto Park. It shouldn't be too hot at this time and hopefully won't rain. Wear beach attire and bring something for a cookout! We will have a food signup list when the time gets closer but this is just for all you people to mark your calendars, take off from work, etc..

TOO FAR?! Nah, there are actually a group from daytona/orlando area that are meeting up to drive to Lakeland to meet up with that crew and then to Tampa to pick up another crew. Infact, there are some out of state groups coming! ;-) So your still too far?

im 120 miles or less from Lakeland and lauderdale is about 80 miles south of me. so ur lookin at a 3 hour drive a 3 hour drive a 3 hour drive.

Im gonna try and get there on the 29th, be nice to meet some fellow MR2 dirvers.

P.S. Im new to the MR2 scene, Ive only had mine for a few months now. Any one know more about this group im in orlando.

I'm in fort lauderdale, but I just bought my Mr2 and I don't think it'll make it 239mi are a lot for my car. May be if a met whit someone near here and then trip togheter that looks better for me. Ale

Ya I'm also in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Not sure about making that long of a trip. I drove my MR2 from NY to Ft. Lauderdale just a few weeks ago and think it needs a little bit of a rest. Any of you other MR2 interested in doing something on the east coast, between Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm I'm sure we could have a decent amount of people!

thats a great idea Im all for not going all the way to the boring west coast and throwing a much better meet somewhere between west palm beach to miami lets all look into a good spot to have the meet.

I hear ya about the driving. Any one got any suggestions as to where? I'm new to FL, so don't know it well. But I'll start looking.

And Puerto Rico dude, your best bet is our South West FL meet (not sure how well that drive will go).

I started a new thread so we can leave this one to people in their area.
Just say your interested so we can have an idea of how many there are, and it would be great to hear some suggestions as to where, when, ect.

Not sure about making that long of a trip. I drove my MR2 from NY to Ft. Lauderdale just a few weeks ago and think it needs a little bit of a rest.
