It isn't really a "sponsership" if they require you to pay a fee, thats called a scam.

I would start off with autox and learn a little car control before progressing to high speed events. Don't goof off on the street and don't mod your car to start out with....most mods are worthless and will hurt performance. Good tires, brakes and a well-maintained car are all you need. Dampers are nice to have later on. Skip the worthless BS 'mod' scene if you are interested in performance driving. You should come and check it out. Check out an autox, be observant and keep your car in stock class. |

actually i was going to. Just restore and keep maintained. 222 horses is (technically) enough, prehaps too much if not used wisely. This one guy at my school keeps bugging me to drive it... HELL NO - he has totaled 4 RSX's and like to other cars.
an autox? ...? A automatic? hmm, but where would i find one? heh my bros Police interceptor crown vic? haha i know it varys because of the track... but what is the average speed on a high speed course? - (50-70mph?) |

you mind if i ask you some 101 questions? There are many suspension items that can help and hurt the car. once again i guess it all in the experience... heh i remember at one point i wanted eibach prokit. ... Theres so much technical stuff to know about suspension. Now dampers... whats the differences between them and coilovers? Are dampers - struts, or shocks? heh heck, i dont know... lol I just know the basics of the basics. Hopefully i'm getting some new tires soon. I'm trying to find some with a lower aspect ratio, and perferably the 265/ tires in the rear. i dont want the 315/ tires like TT have. haha. thats a WEE big for me. |

Autox is donein a parking lot with cones and speeds are usually under 50-60mph. There is very little chance of hurting your car and yourself. There are a lot more turns in an autox and you learn car control at a much more rapid pace, with lower stakes. Track events are the real deal. The stakes are higher and you have a real possibility of damaging your (or someone else's) car and hurting yourself. HPDEs are the entry level and you are sent out with an instructor. Neither type of even will allow you to drive without a signed waiver of liability from both parents if you're a minor. A lot of track events require you to be 18. Autox is a cheap and easily accessible way into motorsports. |

Just call them. They'll usually covered non-timed HPDEs. You probably won't need it anyway, if you are rational. I'm going as a novice. |

Hey guys, i wont be able to make it.
I dislocated my LEFT shoulder. About my shoulder background... I've had surgery on my RIGHT one because i tore cartlidge.(labrum to be exact). And now my left shoulder dislocated today. I'm getting a M.R.I. tomorrow, to see if i need more surgery... I've been doing track for the pass week and a half... I had to miss football spring practice because of it... so when it was time for me to go to foobtall... i went from track.. to a day we are full pads. Not to mention the other guys have had time to get use to the pads, ( about a week and a half.) I on the other hand... have not had time. i went from running to a day of full contact. Monday and tuesday we were in shells ( if you guys know what that means.) Wednesday thru friday, full pads... This was the first time its been a FULL dislocation... and the first time we had trouble getting it back it... so, wish me luck and pray that i wont have to get surgrey. Either way... i'll still be ok in the end. It was scary tho, my mom joked about getting me an automatic ![]() |

I will be there as well. I won't be driving on the track, but I look forward to riding as a passenger.

Who is ready to roll?
I've still got to flush my coolant and replace with water/water wetter, replace my brake pads with these new Carbotechs that have been sitting around, flush my brake fluid and make sure there aren't any loose bolts. Not much left to do... ![]() |

I am unfortunately in the middle of a ton of stuff on my silver car. The NA will be used as a back up if I don't get everything finished in time. I just got a Haltech E6X installed that still needs to be tuned, and doing a big brake kit (Supra brakes), and working out some handling issues. I do hope it's finished in time because I've been itching to get it on the track.
![]() By the way, will you be rolling through Atlanta on the way? |
