July 28-30, PacNWMR2006 - Medford, OR

Hey All You Northwest MR2ers,
This year's PacNWMR2 meet is happening the weekend of July 28-30. Most of the event will take place at the Agate Raceway, a local track used for autocrossing and karting. Medford is located in beautiful Southern Oregon, about four hours south of Portland and five hours north of Sacramento. Fifteen minutes away is Ashland, home of the world famous Shakespeare Festival. Here's a quick rundown of what to expect at the event:

MR2's from all over the country
Sunny weather
Tons of track time
Intense autocross competition (possibly with local veteran racers joining the fun)
Friday Night Drag Racing (optional)
Poker run / scenic drive
Raffle and prizes
+ Much more!

The open track driving and the autocross are included in the price of the event. To drive on the track you will need a valid driver's license. If you're under 18 you must have a parent present. Registration will NOT include meals, hotels, ect. There is a signifigant discount on hotel costs (check the Lodging page).

I am working with Zac on hammering out all the details (including this years super secret course layout - Agate has a bazillion different ways to configure it) but last years event was great, and we even had James Unger's ClubRally Celica All-Trac show up! There are lots of prizes and fun times for all! We will have the website updated soon, and ready for people to start registering, so check back occasionally. I will update this thread as I know more details.

wells, mixed bag with the workshop group right now. we are all rushing to try and get "something' driveable for medford. plan on going, with or without the car though, haha.

98% I'll be their, my work is kind of a bunch of nazi's about time off but I should be able to get it off, if not I'll just call in sick. Should be fun, my brother may or may not have his car done by then as well.

i see there is a thread on v-6's going to the medford meet. This is gettin more and more intersting, heeeh. The workshop group is planning to bring a small shop for our testing and tuning.

That too would depend on my work schedule, and ultimately if I've been able to buy a car by then.

You can fly down here and join in on the convoy....

i would like to get a convoy of some sorts together to leave for the event very early fri morn. all meet up at a good starting point and role together to medford.

so is there anyone else intrestedin the caravan? so far i have meand one other guy that,ll b drivein an ae86.the plan so far is for him and i to meet @ my house at 06:00 then if there are anyone else intrestedin runnin with us we were thinkin about meeting up at the ta travel plaza @exit#278 on I-5 just south of portland. so if any one else is intrested post here or e-mail me at goose2580@yahoo.com

I would love to caravan, but I need to be down there thursday night to get stuff setup friday morning - also need to go sweep the track and get it ready for when people show up.
