UCF CAR SHOW

Date:October 22nd, Sunday
Time: Check-in at 9am, show from noon-2pm and awards at 5
Place: on campus, in the parking lot inbetween the north and east parking garage.
Price:spectators are free, to show is $10, and we will have spaces avalible to sponsors and vendors for 50 dollars, where you may set up a tent and have two shop cars. cars pay at the gate, and vendors must email/pm me and pay in advance
parking:spectator parking will be in either garage next to the lot

try to arrive as soon as possible, due to us not knowing how many cars to expect and spots will fill up soon as there is a limited amount of space.

I'm thinking about entering this. Are any other MR2's in this thing? It kinda sucks being the only one.

POSTPONED due to "weather issues"

Ok, so that everyone has their story straight on what happened with the show postponement:

A 30% chance of rain is not the big deal, it's the effects of what happens if it does rain. The police and physical plant (people who we have to get permission to do these things) felt that if we were going to do the show when it rained, that it would increase some safety issues and therefore we would be required to carry a high priced liability insurance policy in order to be able to do it on campus. Which, they called us at 4:45 on a friday to tell us this, so we didn't even have the option of getting one.

So our choices were this: reschedule the show to a time when it either wasn't going to rain, hope that it doesn't rain, or have the police kick us out and fine us substantially when it does rain.

So we took the former, reschedule, and this time we're blanket paying for the insurance whether we need it or not.

Like I said, I'm very sorry about this. I know this has caused a lot of problems, and I wish there was something I could do about it, but to be honest I feel like we got screwed in the 11th hour and now all of you have to suffer it.

Let me repeat, a little rain is not a big deal. Personal liability and fines from rain are a big deal. If they had come to us with this even a day earlier we'd still be having this show, rain or shine.

On that note, I'm seriously open to suggestions."

Ok guys its rescheduled for the 19th of November same times and setup.
9am roll in judging 5pm closes at 6pm
