SS Sill Plastic Trim - GI GB
Stainless Steel Sill 10th Anniversary Plastic Trim Pieces are going to be available soon in a group buy. First off, I will not presale these so please don't ask. I need to know how many people are interested in these for the price. I've got the prices pretty much hammered out, I'm just waiting on an okay from my guy to order.
I will try to get some pictures soon, but it might have to wait until I get them in stock. I will probably do this group buy, and 1 more next september on these and thats it. However, I might not do it next september, who knows, these could sell out, its happened before. This is GAUGING INTEREST ONLY, I WILL NOT ACCEPT MONEY. Please put your name down here if you are serious about purchasing these. I know the price might be high, but this is the best I can do. If your name goes down here, I assume you will have the money ready. The names here will receive a Private Message from me 1-2 days before these officially go on sale and they will have first dibs. I am asking you please, do not put your name down here if you are not serious about buying. I need to figure out how many to buy. If 10 people put there names down here, and I order 10 sets, and only sell 3, I am really screwed. PRICE - $135.00 shipped to the states. (Canada add $5.00) Expected Group Buy Date - 02 June 08 I am hoping to order this monday and have these in stock in about a week. Once these are in my hands, I will then start accepting money, but not before. Once I receive these in stock, and have your money, you will have these at your door 2 weeks later. 1. Ben 2. Pearljammzz 3. Canadam 4. Garage1217 5. Xlr8d 6. TRD MR2 DRGN EDIT: I will be putting in the order tomorrow (friday, and hopefully start getting them delivered to me roughly next wednesday/thursday. It will turn them into my box guy on friday and have them ready to go out the following week. I will not take payment till I have these in my hand. I don't know how many I am going to get, I am going to order 6 - 7 sets and hope for the best. I might only get 2 in, who knows, it just depends on whats available locally. I will not order these if it takes longer than 4 business days. outside of 4 days, they order outside of tokyo and problems arise with the delivery of products because they use outside delivery contractors and have no return policy, which blows for me is something breaks. It sucks, but i have to protect myself while also protect you guys from a bad deal. I will start offering these to the first people on the list (Except canadam, we have an arrangment worked out for the write-up from like, 3 years ago). If I can't get them for you this time, then hold off until August. August, I am going on a road trip with an empty 8 passenger van, and will get anything possible from the toyota warehouse down in BFE Japan. . Last edited by PHOENIX; 05-28-2008 at 10:37 PM. |

Oh yeah....
I only accept Paypal Money orders take way too long, sorry On a side note, these do not come in blue. A blue interior was never offered on the 10th Anniversary MR2, so its not an option. Black only. Also, I do not offer the SS plates, Although Toyota offers them here, I got really screwed on these from an order way back in the day and refuse to go that route again with them. you can get the sill plates off Ebay. Lithia might be able to get them, I don't know. Looks like "Texas Toyota" on ebay has a supply.
This is only for the plastic trim pieces that the sill plates fit into. The trim that you guys have on your MR2's require cutting/modification for the SS Plate pieces to fit, and its never right or flush. As far as fitment, there is an issue. The tabs are wrong because they are made for RHD, not LHD. There is a fix however. Basically cutting the tabs off, a little glue, and walla. Is it this simple, I don't know, I have never done it. As soon as I get them in stock, I will shipp a set to Canadam, he offered to do a write-up on switching the tabs out for everyone. By the time you get the plates at your house, Canadam should have the write-up done for you guys. I have been told by a few people that this process is easy, and they figured it out for themselves, although I do consider the people to be "crafty". As soon as I officially open the group buy, I will post pictures for you guys to see how the sill plates fit into these before payment so you know exactly what your getting. |

The actual SS door sills you can get from Aaron over at Lithia for 31 dollars and some change, just got off the phone with him. Looks even cheaper than ebay AND it supports the community
.Already ordered my door sills, so if you can't get this to go, I am castrating you Dave . |

that's a piece, shipping on those, a few plastic pieces, cap, and rotor was like 7 bucks. I imagine shipping to be like 4, so like 66 shipped for them.

Perhaps Lithia can work in connection with the MR2 Store to provide the sill plates for those who need them.
I'll be buying a set off Aaron right away. |

Im a bit lucky being here in Australia, We have RHD cars like the Japs. I already have the anniversary plastic sill's with the Stainless steell scuffs. They are cool. The way the scuffs lock into the plastic sill's is PERFECT. Flush and very clean with no exposed metal ends like retrofitted ones. You are going to like them.
