Its your magazine.. what would you like to see in it?

Hey guys, I see from MR2Trader that lots of magazines are winging their way over to the U.S. now, which is great news, the magazine is for the MR2 community worldwide, and is a way of seeing whats going on with modding, styling, and engineering, as well as events around the world.

We always appreciate your feedback, and like to hear what you want to read about, there is loads of exciting plans and ideas for next year, so watch this space.. including

Monster MR2s Power day - Rolling road with a selection of 500bhp + Turbos
Engine swap comparison - mk1 MR2, turbo and V6 go head to head
MR2 Drift competitior - Yes we have found a European guy who has built a new drift MR2

just a few of our plans, always on the look out for something a little different, to complement the excellent individual MR2s we feature.

Just an idea, but maybe an article that is the basics and talk about the difference between USDM and JDM engines, and the different year mk2 engines from 91 - 92, 93, 94 +.

+1

I'd like to see some ideal Autocross setups in detail with maybe some do's and don'ts.

Seriously, dosn't hurt to bring it to the basics for the newer mr2 owners. Good idea on the autocross thing.

Yeah, great ideas guys, getting similar feedback on the UK forums, our tuning specialist TB Developments is providing yet another Turbo guide following in issue two from his first article in issue one.

And yes grass roots stuff for the newbies is great, might need a little advice for the specs for the USDM MR2s as no doubt they are different to ours over here in the U.K, although the JDM imports will be the same.

Certainly look into the autocross thing, any of you guys have any contact names?

Few more ideas we have had for the new year are:-

Buying guide to the MR2, what to look for when buying

Mk1 MR2 engine swap head to head comparison, V6 vs turbo which will be organised in conjunction with the nice guys from www.twobrutal.co.uk

500bhp plus monster turbo dyno day (UK) be nice to get some of you guys to arrange a US one too.

Bruntinghthorpe airstrip photo shoot out and timing session (UK) mixed MR2s

Lots more to come, and really appreciate the input and suggestions/feedback from your guys too

Im sure you guys have tons of cars that you would love to put in your magazine but don't have the space. Maybe you guys could have a page near the back of the magazine and do a readers ride section where it shows a picture of them and their MR2 and a quick modlist about them. Maybe put like 8 readers on a page every issue.

I'd like to see an issue that brings together some MR2s from all around the world in one write-up somehow.

MR2 Only is now the proud owner of an 87 Mk1, which with a little TLC and some hand work with a grinder, we are going to prepare for circuit track days, we will be following the project as of issue three of MR2 Only Magazine, so watch this space!
