4age Burning oil
My 4AGE has started burning oil at about the rate of 1qt per 500 miles. It is especially bad on long trips, making a notable cloud over the engine bay when stopped. It has also started releasing some of the smoke into the cabing through the air ducts sporatically (haven't found a common trend in it yet, but it never lasts for more than a second). I've also noticed that the oil pressure gague will drop just low of 50% when the engine is at idle.
I spoke with my brother on the issue and he said to replace the PCV valve and possibly the valve cover gasket. He also recommended ordering the PCV valve off the 4agze, does anyone know if it'll fit? Is there anything else I can check or any way anyone knows to isolate the problem? Thanks |

Your piston rings are probably gone. Start of with a leak down test to check the piston rings.
