did you read this before you posted it? you can use your trans (i did). you can use your standard headers but if you do i am lead to believe you will need to drill some mounting holes but with a black top you cant use your standard headers (bigger exhaust ports on the black top). You will need a new air intake as your standard one is 2.5inches and the 20V is 3 (most pod filters have a 3 inch neck). as for the wiring i would go for MR220V's plug and play harness, im in australia and didnt get it and there was so much stuffing around to get it correct. In the USA i am told the black top is hard to come by but that is what i went for because it is newer and i didnt need to run an AFM. When doing the conversion it would be a good idea to do things like your clutch (it will be out anyway) fuel filter (you can actually get to it) and make sure your brakes are in very good condition (you will need to stop once you have had your fun). any more question then just ask but if i were you i would post in the 20V section

Wow, I know I had answered your transmission questions in the numerous posts youve made on this subject.
Use your stock trans, simple. If your good with a drill and a bit, use the new trans. All BT's do not come with 6 speed's, theyre actually rare, thats why a 6 speed BT swap costs over $2k. And yes the BT's weak point is the rods thats all, it is only a slightly better motor all in all. |
