4age ordering parts help
well my timing cover say 4age.....now is there a difference between a jdm(1989) motor and an american internally...my cars an 1986 btw but motors from an 1989 jdm mr2
can i by parts for the 4agelc(whats the c for corolla) but are the motors identical? Any other weird labling that parts will work for my case 1988-1989 1.6L TOYOTA COROLLA 4AGELC DOHC 16V i at least need pistons/rings and perf crank/rob bearings water pump, gasket kit, oil pump anyone have them laying around ill by them |

Good question. I don't really know if there is that much difference between the US and JDM n/a engines, but there definitely is a difference between the 86 and 89 engines. I would just order the parts for an 89 usdm motor and then when you get it apart you'll be able to measure to see if there is any difference in the piston and bore diameter, etc. All these US specs are in the back of the BGB.
