MAF

Ok so I own an 87 Corolla fx16 Gts and an 88 Mr2 (currently out of comition). The Mr2 looks as though someone has been in the AFM so i replaced it with one from a fx16. I was wondering is that a compadible part or am i just screwing myself? I know they are different part numbers but pretty much the same engine. Also if you have one laying around give me a price.
Thanx JB

First it's a AFM, not a MAF. MAF uses a hot wire while AFM uses a stupid flap.
I have an 87 mr2 with an 85 AFM. I don't think you can damage any thing by using the wrong AFM. Might run poorly. Mine runs great.

Ok, Thanx AFM. Yea the 2 is running poorly high idle and then once it warms up it idle hunts. Ive drained and cleaned the cooling system many times. the only way to control the idle is to creat a vacum leak between the AFM and the throttle body.
