Question bucket valve swap

has anybody ever thought about or converted a 4age to under the bucket shims?

It can and has been done. Usually for extreme horsepower applications with large cams. You would need different buckets and shims. Bill Zilla talks about it in his 4age write up.

All depends on how much horsepower you want and how much money you can spend.

Here's the site for the writeup. Don't remember which toyota you "borrow" the shims and buckets from.

This is another advantage of just going 20v. Shim under bucket is stock.
