Lets talk boost....
So, I'm in the process of making repairs to my 87 mk1 and once complete I plan to begin gathering parts for my original plans on buying the car. Yeah turbo charging, I've done research on here and other places and Ive gathered the 4a-ge block will take some boost on stock internals and from what Ive read (Please save me some time and correct me if I'm wrong) but the ge block and the gze blocks are the same. The difference is the internals, mainly the pistons; with that being said who on here has attempted to boost their 4a-ge or has done it? I'm not looking for 20 psi or anything crazy, I'm simply wanting about 6-8 psi and build up another block for 12-16 tops....
So here we go lets see where this goes and lets see for some of the others where this takes us. Who knows at the end of the day we might have a sleeper at hand? But ultimately I just want to have something to play with. |
