Depends on a lot of things but if you did rings and bearings I would say the equivilent of a couple longish drives would settle it down although for the engine to truely settle will take a bit longer probably a couple thousand k. It is not much of an issue as long as you give it a good run the first time to settle in the head gasket. It may smoke a little bit as the rings settle in but it goes away.
As long as the bores are honed it's all good. I took some bad advice once from an engine builder saying little jap engines don't need honing and the rings will settle in the glazed bore and I now have to tear the engine down to hone the bores cause after 2000 km it is smoking really bad and the oil is heating up from blowby gases. I think that not honing applies to wet bore engines (really hard bores) not the cast blocks that the 4age uses. |

^ Agree. Also the best break in driving is in-town driving (lots of stop and go). Do as little freeway driving as possible. I was always taught that break miles is 500-1,000

Around 500 miles to break in your clutch, there should be a point where the clutch pedal changes (feels different) and your clutch is broken in
And your not suppose to beat on your car, burn out/peel out or shift hard |

Minimum, ~500-1k, but as everyone says it all depends on how you do the break in. Obviously city vs highway. I'd do a few hundred around the city, and then take it for a trip on the highway. Do it as gentle as possible.
