Piston Slap?

I have it, noticeable between anything below 2k and above 6.5.

my question is what are the dangers of it seriously fubaring my engine, should i bother tearing it all down to fix. and does anyone else have it.

I didn't think these engines were that prone to piston slap, they don't have short skirts or anything.

Wouldn't drive around for too long like that. I'm not sure if the pistons will slap the head easily in these engines but if they do it will crack the piston and then your in trouble (think boom)

check your ignition timing these cars have a radical advance from about that rpm and you could be mistaking detonation for piston slap you could also try running premium gas in it and see if it goes away
