Where can I get Parts for this freaking car

Hey I am new to the site I basically joined to see if anyone knows where I can get some parts. This is an 86 Mr2 That I bought in july I bought it from a neighbor and was told that it needed a transmission and a part of the cooling system and he didn't have the money to fix it. I've always admired the car and was happy to buy it but I can't find an automatic trans. anywhere. The part of the cooling is the piece in the engine bay that has tje radiator cap on it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanx

+1

like he said check the sale thread for the transmission. Why does it need a new trans anyways?
also for the other part you might wanna contact Aaron at Lithia Toyota, he gives MR2 owners club discounts. He's a vendor here.

thanx and the guy i bought it from was told that it needed that transmission I have driven twice for only a few blocks and it fells like it is stuck in second gear and won't shift into any others including neutral, park, or reverse. you can move the shifter but it feels like the transmission doesn't respond at all.

PLEASE GET THAT SLUSHBOX OUT. You should be able to find a 5-speed and the parts to convert either on this site or e-bay. I have an '86 MK1 w/manual that i may have to part out. the body is badly rusted. Just look for my other threads, and you will see whats going on.(new head gasket, but wont fire-up). besides, you cant build-up an automatic car, power wise, tranny will burn up

where do you live? if your anywhere near northeast indiana, i saw one at a junkyard and was surprised to see it was an auto. there is also a place called two brothers in angola indiana that specializes in imports.

any 5 speed parts car that already is a manual.look for one with a dead engine. you got got everything you need to do the swap with that and you can always raid it for spare parts after.
