Stock works fine for every day driving. If you want to get the cone filter and not worrying about the rain relocate the battery to the front truck then put a 45 off the intake manifold, then the maf then the filter up where the battery was. I just did an intake straight off the intake on my 20v swap. I'll be getting a little lexan shield to go overtop of it for when it rains. I might move my battery to the front and redo the intake like how I first said.

sice i live in cali it hardley rains if i just cover up the left vent with some sor of plastic right under the vent to keep the water from coming down bad or good idea this might sound childish but i love the way the filter looks trough the vent when u walk by it

put a peice of plexi glass over the filter thats what i plan to do ull have to fab up some mounts for the glass though but its nothing hard

yea i saw the plexi thing on another fourm thing but i would also recomind getting your hands on a v6 corrolla MAF and hook it up thats what im doing but probly need to do timing also and MPG is probly going down but its worth it
