4agze ae92 lsd 5 speed into aw11

are there any mods required to get an ae92 lsd box into an aw11?

its gonna be going against a 7age when the works done, but that sides essentially same as 4age. so any advice/hints on work required to get it into aw11?

cheers-

There's a procedure for swapping the shifter from one side of the tranny to the other side.

Its involves drilling out a hole, removing the shifter arm, and a small weld.

There's probably an article in this forum on it. Try a search for
"shifter swap".

if he's using an ae92 E series box, he will need an MR2 E series shifter linkage

there's no welding involved if you drill the hole the correct size.

Why not use the c52 that came with the stock mr2? Supposably its lighter than the e series transmission and its supposed to be in there so there is no need for drilling.

the C series is a LOT lighter, and IMHO the C series has a better gear ratio.

Unless you are breaking traction I would say it's unnecessary. When I peal out of my driveway on a rainy day both wheels spin. Not like an old chevy where the one wheel spins and leaves an embarrassing 1 wheel wonder mark. The only time I would sai I could use a lsd would be making a turn in a hurry pulling out infront of traffic. Under normal turns slowing down I don't get much spin if any. It's up to you though if you are going to be pulling out in a hurry and feel that you really need it, go for it.
