Set of questions.
Hey guys, I have 2 important questions to ask:
1) My check engine light is on and I've done plenty of research but cannot find anything that tells me how to reset a obd0 ecu, does anyone on here know how to reset a obd0 ecu? Can you explain it to me? 2) Does anyone have a diagram that will show me exactly where the crankgear lines up, so I can time it? I already have the first cam at the 12 o'clock position and the second cam at the 5 o'clock position but the crankgear seems to not have a mark on it for us to time it, but I do see the dot on the side of the block. Does anyone have a diagram for this that they can post up, or can someone here explain it to me? Thanks, Mike. |

Do you have a BGB or Haynes manual? That's probably your best bet!
As for the resetting, I believe this can be done by jumping 2 terminals in the diagnostic plug. (which 2 I can't remember, but it should be in the manuals!) And the timing.. I do not know if there is a mark on the crank pulley. Behind the pulley tho is the timing belt gear, and on that gear there is a mark that should line up with the dot on the steel cover backing. Even simpler tho, just pull #1 spark plug and rotate engine to cyl. #1 TDC. It is at this point both camshafts should line up with the marks on the backing plate. |
