WTF! WTF! WTF!
Ok, so my car was running like ass last week, after I did new wires and cap and rotor, so I put my stock stuff back on and nothing happened, so then I put a new TPS on and it fixed my surging and bucking at any rpm above 2k. So its been misbehaving for awhile now, still having choppy throttle input and acting really weird, so today I unplugged my TPS entirely. I dont think my car has ran this good since I bought it....
Anyone wanna give me some info on why? |

I'm actually having the same problem with the surging and bucking and was going to pick up new plugs, plug wires, rotor and cap today
TPS = Throttle position sensor? |

Must be a bad TPS? I guess it's not changing resistance when being opened up fully.

TPS was new. So I dont think it was bad....All this crap started when I swapped cap and rotor and wires....but now everything is working again with the original stuff back in it. Except the original TPS....minor hesitation still but I am sure its my plug wires, they showed signs of arcing...
On a side note..KYB AGX and Tein S Lowering springs go in today... YAY! |

When you bought the new wires, cap, and rotor did you get them from Toyota?

Still running without a TPS....car runs much much better...no hesitation or throttle response lag as with the TPS...
