Bad morning..

So, my right rear calliper slipped off while I was driving.. And noticed that it wasn't even on there when I parked the car. Thank god it happened right infront of my mechanic's shop.. And I did my brakes 3 months ago., @@

I think it happened due to this huge piece of d'ebris aka a whole tire I hit due to not being able to get out of the way in time.

Good news is,...they put it back on for free....and I'm getting a new accelerator cable since mine has gone to hell. And...it's been in hell for..a year now. Haha. No more random high reving!

I hit the tire off Main St. in The Colony by 121. And my calliper popped off on in Carrollton by my mechanic. God did it suck.

And Toyota sent the wrong cable so I'm stuck with the Van for a couple of days. Maybe I should just get a new car. I'm tired of fixing mine.

And apparently a bolt popped out. And I'm a pretty good driver so I'm thinking it was the huge tire I hit the other day cause it did make some weird noise after I hit it.

Uhh your caliper should not come off like that, it had to be put on piss poorly IMO.

agreed -- a bolt or 2 might not have been tightened... has happened here before when we get distracted or rushed or too many hands in one pie and everyone says "i thought you did it" lol

anyways -- luckily it happened near the mechanic's shop and they just reinstalled it for free

"A bolt or two"

I guess that's good, since there are only two bolts holding it on to the strut assembly anyways. You know why they reinstalled it for free? Because they KNOW it was their fault, and if it had fallen off during heavy braking or something, you could have been in a collision and been seriously injured or killed. They did it for free because they're thanking their lucky stars that you aren't calling your lawyer right now.

Lol, calm down guy. A friend of mine and his father helped me with my breaks. But yeah, they did it for free because I usually go there to get whatever needs done to my car. I bring them work from friends too. So, they give me free labor....plus, they look at cars for me.

^True

Atleast your safe and your car is safe. It is a little baffling that it fell off, I think that's the first ive ever heard of a caliper falling off.

Forgetting to tighten your salsa jar rarely results in an auto accident.
