WTB 5SFE in or around North East Florida

Finally I am back in business with a new job, cheaper housing and a case full of Ramen noodles. Time to get back to the car. I am looking for the entire engine minus the tranny if possible. Theres got to be a few 5S's out there what with all the turbo swaps going on.

Please PM me or email me eatlessmeat@hotmail.com

I have one in Atlanta. I don't know if that's too far away or not.

Also, check out the local junk/salvage yards. The 5sfe was used in many different toyota's so you are sure to find one.

Thanks! What a great site ...

*Sigh* I've had bad luck in junk yards, I was hoping to pick one up from someone who knew a little about the MR2

If you only want the shortblock, pick one up from a newer low mileage toyota. Much better than buying an old mr2 5sfe

You dont' have to use a motor out of an MR2 ya know. Can use one out of a celica, camry or any of the bazillion other vehicles toyota put the 5s into.

There are a few parts you'll need to scavenge from your old motor, like the harmonic balancer and the alternator bracket, but it's pretty much a drop in. You can even pick up a much newer motor, but you might need a newer ECU if you do that 'cause there's some differences in the distributor and the throttle position sensor.

I don't know if car-part.com has *all* inventory in junkyards but I've found it to be pretty comprehensive.
