Non-turbo headers
Hello,
I've got a question about installing after market headers on a 1991 non-turbo. I removed the manifold to fix a cooling leak and decided to upgrade the cast iron manifold with a higher performance header. I wanted to know if I could buy a header that would bolt on directly to the stock tailpipe ( I'm not sure it that is the correct term, but its the pipe that connects the manifold to the muffler). Is so, what do I need to by and where can I find it. I believe I need a header and downpipe but I'm not sure. Thanks for your assistance. Lucas |

The pipe you're talking about is the "B-Pipe." MR2liter on this forum had a lot of non-turbo headers for sale. Check this thread: http://www.mr2board.com/forums/mk-2-...ghlight=header

aftermarket headers don't fit the oem downpipe but anyway when you buy an aftermarket header generally the downpipe is included with the header so you don't have to worry about making the OEM downpipe fit on the aftermarket header
