3SGE Tranny??

Could you mate a 3SGE to a trans from a 5S? Figured I'd save money on the swap.

yes you can, i just recently did and it workd great. If you were to keep the tranny from the 3sge you would need to get turbo axles and hubs. Although you might not be able to hook up cruise control. Hope your swap turns out good!

I'm using my original s54 with my beams 3sge.

gen3 used a taller final, which is why its slower.. im not sure what the beams used... but i bet its similar or the same to the gen3 trans.

imo, the US spec or gen2 spec S54 is what you want to use for any and all NA mr2s.
