I have been searching for a Mr2 mkII NA for some time now and have been unable to find one to my liking. I don't know if I am just too picky or if I am just looking in the wrong places. I would like one with under 110k miles on it, 5spd, and am lookig to pay between 5k and 7k for it. I want it mostly stock if possible. ttops, hard top, moonrf is not a big deal to me. Most people are looking for a '93 and up, but I would be perfectly happy with a '91 or '92. I am in Birmingham, AL and was hoping to find something close, but that is not the biggest factor. I just want a clean mr2 to get started with. If anyone could point me in a direction or knows of a 2 that might fit this description please let me know...or let me know if I am just foolin myself. Thanks

It would be nice if I didn't have a job or school, and could just take off through the country on my search. Some of the cars I see though are 2,000 miles away. I found one in California, that looks good, but... 2,200 miles is not a weekend trip. Thanks for the tips guys... I'll find one soon.

if you find a nice one out of state and it is under your budget, it really isn't that expensive to have it shipped to you. it's about 550 from cali to bama. i wish you had posted this yesterday, my friend joseph just sold a very clean 92 t-top n/a with 113k for 2500.

That's just my luck, a day late and a dollar short. Hey man if you hear of any other deals like that, just let me know. That's good to know about the shipping, but I hate to buy a car without having driven it at least once.

i am waiting on a call from a dealer here in jackson that has a 93 t-top n/a, its black on black leather, very nice. he owns a body shop as well and has spent the last year replacing and maintaining the car, as in all new door, window, t-top gaskets, new window trim on the doors, new moldings etc. the thing is he is only asking 4500. i am waiting for him to call me back and let me know if he is ready to sell. about a month ago he wasn't ready, had a few things left to do on it, bushings and stuff like that. should be sweet when it s ready for sale. i will let you know what he says when i hear from him.

Awesome. Are you looking to buy it, or are you just in contact with him? did he replace the engine or is it still original? Do you live in Jackson,MS or TN... my girlfriend is from Jackson MS.

i was looking at buying it last fall, but he wouldn't sell it to me then. it has the original motor, tranny, etc. i have stayed in contact with him cuz i get asked alot if i know where any are and when this one goes up it is a helluva deal.

i am in jackson, ms.

That's great. I'm at school in starkville... my permanent residence is in bama. My girlfriend is from jackson, MS so I'll have to definately check that out. I'll send you a pm later and maybe get some details from you. Thanks again... do you know how many miles are on the engine?
